I want to share my full experience at Starz Salon because while things ended on a great note, the beginning was incredibly stressful and disappointing.
My original stylist, Emma, had to cancel last minute due to illness, which I completely understood. Since I was heading out of town for vacation and needed my hair done beforehand, the salon rescheduled me for that Saturday with another stylist (whom I won’t name out of courtesy). Unfortunately, the appointment went terribly. I was quoted a price and given a timeframe of 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for a tone, glaze, and haircut. I ended up being there from 11 a.m. until after 3 p.m. nearly four hours and I never even received the haircut. The total price I paid was much more than originally quoted (even without the haircut)
The color process was poorly executed: my hair came out overly ashy, spotty, and completely off from what I requested. The stylist had to re-glaze it, but I was still charged for that re-glaze even though it was correcting her own mistake. I also specifically said I didn’t want a full blow-dry just enough to make sure my hair looked okay for my trip but I was still charged for a full 30-minute blow dry I never wanted.
Worse, during the service, I told the stylist that my scalp was hurting, and she dismissed it, saying it was probably just “stress.” When I got home, my husband noticed visible burn marks on my scalp. That was alarming and honestly made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Then, she told me she wanted to dry my hair before cutting it, which is not standard and made me extremely uncomfortable. At that point, I was so uneasy with the entire experience that I lied and said I had another appointment just to get out of the chair. I left without a haircut and very upset.
To the salon’s credit, the owner personally reached out to me afterward, apologized, and promised to make it right. Although it couldn’t be fixed immediately due to the holiday weekend and my vacation, they followed through…

When I returned, Emma (my original stylist) was finally able to see me, and she did an incredible job. She corrected the color beautifully, gave me a deep shampoo treatment, and finally gave me the haircut I’d originally booked. She’s professional, kind, and clearly knows what she’s doing.

I’m not writing this to bash Starz Salon. Mistakes happen but clients should never leave with burns, poor color, or feeling dismissed. That said, it’s not about how you start, but how you finish and the salon made sure I was taken care of in the end. Thank you, Emma and the team, for turning it around.

I have been going to Starz for quite a while now (haircut and highlights/color). I appreciate the welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Front desk staff is very nice, accommodating and conscientious. Stylist Yasmin is doing such excellent work and is very easy and natural to communicate with. She listens patiently to the client’s requests and is very charming and kind. Not always the case with stylists. Environment is also more natural and relaxing than in many salons. Highly recommend this excellent salon.

These are the kindest people. So fun, such good energy. They were able to get me in last minute for a color correction, and not only did they fix it, but made it look the best it ever has. This is the type of salon you want to keep coming back to!!

Amazing, top notch salon is an understatement for Starz! They have been cutting and coloring my moms hair for 35 years. I regularly got my hair done at Starz but have moved to California in 1999. I recently got my hair done at Starz, during my Thanksgiving visit back home. Jocelyn did incredible work on my cut and color for my super blonde hair and is clearly highly skilled and trained, demonstrated in her process. She even gave my 7 year old son the best haircut that he has ever gotten! You could not ask more from a salon as the entire staff is extremely professional, while also being personable and down to earth. If I could afford to fly from California every couple months for my hair, I would most certainly go the above and beyond Starz salon!

I have been to Starz twice and had Yasmin cut my hair both times, and I won't go to anyone ever again! She is so personable and kind, and not to mention an excellent hairstylist. She has done my hair exactly how I wanted it both times, and I truly trust her with my hair which is not common for me. If you're looking for a new salon, I highly recommend Starz!

I have been going here for all my hair care needs for about a decade now, and am very happy with this place! The staff is super friendly and courteous. And my beautician here, Shannon, is an artist who is so skilled at her job!

I love this salon! Everyone there is nice and the service is amazing. It’s a clean, calm atmosphere. Faith always does such a good job and is very thorough to check your hair afterwards to make sure you go home happy. Bring a sweater in the winter though, it gets kinda chilly, especially since your sitting there with wet hair.
