Such a great tailor and man! I found him via Google after going somewhere else and not loving the work! I needed some pants taken in on a Sunday for a babyshower the same evening, he could’ve told me no and that would’ve been fine since it was his day off but he didn’t mind helping me out and the work was perfect a true tailor not a lazy or sloppy one he took his time and you could tell! This guy is the best tailor in Massachusetts, hands down. Literally you can bring just about anything to him and he can fix it or alter it. I brought him a Brioni sportcoat I bought on sale 2 sizes too small and he made it fit as if it was custom made for me. He's a magician.He can take a suit that was made in the 1990's and make the fit look modern. I used to bring my clothing to any tailor and nobody ever complimented me on my clothes. Once I started going here, I felt that my clothes fit better and others started talking about what a great dresser I am.He takes some of the garments apart right in front of you and shows you why other tailors can be butchers. You see a lot of cut corners, crooked seems and sloppy jobs in the work of others. Joe won't let it leave his shop until he's satisfied with the look. All those years, I had been wearing off the rack suits that didn't fit right. Joe can tell if one arm is longer than the other ... knows how you carry your weight to make your silhouette look slimmer ... and actually hems your pants to the right length because he knows how the clothes will shift when you walk. What good is wearing a pair of pants that look good when you are standing still ... if they are too short, or long, when you are walking or sitting?Is this guy the cheapest? Not by a country mile. Initially, I thought ... why would I ever spend twice as much to go to Joe (someone who trained in Italy) when I could spend half as much elsewhere? The answer is ... you get what you pay for. Wanna look good? Spend the extra. It might also take longer than average ... he's a one man shop. But, if you are really in a pinch, he will help you out and expedite your order ... if you tip well. If you need a dress done for a wedding next week, this might not be the place to go. But if you want the job done right, it's worth the weight.Tailoring is about more than just pushing a needle ... and you'll really notice the difference here. Joe is a craftsman and can make an ill-fitting garment look like a million bucks. Just remember ... if you buy suits off the rack and think they fit fine without a little alteration ... they don't.
