I am yet another paying customer where services were never completed. After 6+ months of waiting, texting, and calling - and never receiving a response - I have engaged another company for the work.

I am incredibly disappointed with Peter’s quality of work. We hired Peter Consigli to do the lettering for my Grandmother’s grave back in August of 2023. He was paid in full. We were finally updated in early December of 2023 that “the work had been started and it would be finished at a later date”. Since December of 2023 we have tried numerous times to contact Peter but he has all but dropped off the face of the planet. We were incredibly unhappy with the way Peter left his job site. At the time of writing this review in May of 2024 we have called him multiple times, from multiple numbers, from multiple members of our family to try to understand why my Grandmothers grave was left like this. We even started checking the local obituaries for fear Peter had died. I would not recommend hiring this company to do work for you. In my experience they half complete a job and cut off all contact. That, in my opinion, is no way to run a business. Grief is hard enough to deal with that it need not be exacerbated by the headaches and disrespect of a vendor entrusted with honoring a loved one. To take advantage of others in need and suffering is the ultimate disrespect. If I could leave less than one star I would.

Changing the name of the company from Consigli Memorials to Newburyport Memorial Art Company is no way to hide from poor customer service and unethical business practices. You took money and never completed the services. This is theft. Your practices are unethical, your work is of extremely poor quality, and I will find out later if taking money from customers and not completing the work is criminal.

We hired Peter to engrave my mother in laws gravestone. This was over a year ago. We paid in full and Peter has never completed the work. He has started, left it in terrible condition and refuses to follow up. He hides behind a cell phone and an email address. He has completely ghosted us. In my opinion, and likely in the eye of the law, this is theft.

This guy is a crook. Stay away.

I wish I could give them a good review but my experience was less than optimal. The final stone work was good but the delays in getting the work done and incorrect placement of our grave marker made this experience pretty bad. They are not good communicators and they failed to rectify their mistakes after multiple attempts to contact.

Peter and his family are just amazing. They treated us with such compassion during a very difficult time. The process was easy & they were insistent that our dads headstone was nothing short of perfect.

Quite simply the best!!

Had them cleaner several stones for us in 2015, they exceeded my expectations!
