“I just had my 2nd appointment at Expressions with Lina, and needed to take the time to write a review because my hair and experience were just that good. I am a city girl that has come to the burbs (love/hate), but finding city quality without having to cross the bridge is my mission, and exressions nails it. SUMMARY:Product wise they are super high end (back bar and for sale) which is a must, but not necessarily hard to find. The second part, which Lina and her co-owner both nail, is continuing education without being in the city, and pairing that with a solid hair background and history so that the trends are achievable but the integrity of your hair is maintained! MY EXPERIENCE: I came to Lina with 12 week grown out roots (I'm a level 5 and have a level 10 color block in the front), and needed a new hairdresser after my regular had a long term injury. She took the project on, but most importantly treated every piece of hair on my head like it was in the front. I had a band from leaving my roots for so long, and during my 2nd appointment she and her co-owner lovingly corrected it, even though Lina had a flight to catch for a familly emergency, they worked together and made my hair absolutely perfect. They also provided honest feedback about a longterm plan for my hair while achieving exactly what I wanted in the meantime. I couldn't be more pleased and I am so happy to have one less errand to run in the city so I can spend time complaining about the suburbs!“

When I got tired of the chemicals, growing my hair out was a tough process. I couldn’t keep up with any routines as a busy surgeon and mom so it was mostly buns and not the cute kind. I started going to curlbar 4 years ago and Taylor gave me a routine I can manage. With 2 hours a week on wash day, I feel great about my curls all week and spend about 2 mins a morning on hair. Amanda took on a challenge for my hair in 2024 then I took time off for other reasons. May of 2025 I wanted to get my hair in better condition again. “Lauren just dyed and cut my hair, and I feel like a million bucks. She is an outstanding hairdresser with a particular knack for cutting curly hair, such as mine. When she shampoos a your hair, you could easily fall asleep. All the stylists are professional and offer excellent service for a fair price. I don’t usually post negative reviews, but because i had a bad experience with Mane Wigs in Peabody that i feel it is necessary for me to share my experience☹️ I spend about $2000.00 for a topper and a wig.
I was told that the topper was a perfect match, but unfortunately it had a pink tint and although I love the topper It looks like I have a fake hairpiece on top of my head and I will never wear it! I then proceeded to purchase a wig that we selected a beautiful color for me and waited two months for it to arrive. When it came in it was a totally different color??? I was told that it looked GORGEOUS and made to feel like I was wrong in not liking it? FINAL SALE!!!
When driving home I looked in the mirror in my car and was shocked to see a banana yellow wig on my head and the color I wanted and ordered was a soft creamy light blonde???
Also, I showed the owner a picture that a saw of a wig I thought I would really love and asked if she could get it for me? She didn’t tell me she already had this wig in the store and when i tried it on not knowing it was the one i saw in an add I loved it… So she then ordered it in that creamy blonde color…
She wasn’t honest with me and gave me a phony compliment and definitely charged me appropriately $200 more than I could have paid elsewhere ?!!!
Two Wigs $2000 lost!!’

Kristen is the total opposite of this and I found the perfect wig!!!!? For health reasons I need to wear a wig and couldn’t be happier working with a professional and kind person like Kristen?“
