When the blizzard dropped two feet of snow in Plymouth, MA, our internal equipment was overwhelmed. Their team was incredibly organized and professional throughout the process. Jerry and Meredith were particularly helpful and took lead of the situation with a calmness that was reassuring in a stressful situation. They clearly applied their knowledge and experience to the job. They asked the right questions to ensure the job was handled efficiently. Their expertise allowed our commercial properties to be cleared quickly, getting our business back up and running and safe for travel.

Over the last 4 years, we have rehabbed a 75 yr old family cottage. Richmond Sand/ Gravel has completed multiple projects …..removal/disposal 2 collapsed cesspools, creation of a 3 bedroom title 5 compliant septic system including removal of stumps, huge rocks, changing of the original cast iron waste pipe. Also their work included design of the lawn/patio area, creation of a front yard parking area, created a stone walkway along the side of our home. ALL of the various staff members of the Richmond team whether a site or office team member were polite and knowledgeable about the job at hand. The pricing was reasonable for each project……a very worthwhile investment.

I have been using Richmond Sand & Gravel's services since early 2020 and have always found them to be courteous, helpful, and reliable. Their pricing is reasonable too, never an issue with billing or any other concerns.

It's a 1 star because of the tone durring a phone call. Your service/job can be perfect , but if the customer service is bad, there goes that.
I had them pump my tank. I was told a price didn't "hear" the extra charges except that if my filter needed to be changed or cleaned it was $20. I repeated the $230 amount back to her and she said yes. When I got the PAID invoice there was a fuel charge of $23.00 that I "heard" when I called. I called them and I had asked to have it refunded as I wasn't told about it. The woman at the time was very nice and said that she would talk to the owner, (a guy can't remember name) and that she would call me back. I didn't get the call so 2 days later I called back. I asked about it nicely as an update, and was told in a tone that I would not be getting it back and that I spoke to her and she assures to tell anyone and everyone about the fuel fee. She makes no mistake with that. Really ? First off your human just like me. Yes, you do make mistakes you run a business no? No one is perfect everyday all day all the time. She had a nasty tone with me the entire conversation that she was right. OK... I live about 5 miles/11min from them, and they couldn't waive the fuel charge ? I asked nicely to be removed from there customer list due to the way I was being spoken to. There was no need to take that tone with me. She said she would gladly take me off with no remorse. They obviously don't care about their customers nor their new ones. What an impression that made. Left a bad taste in my mouth. So yes, had I checked my card after, I absolutely would have put a stop it. I never gave verbal permission nor was there ANYKIND of paperwork signed for said amount either. Watch yourselves.

I have nothing but great things to say about this business. Meredith was very helpful and responsive to any question I had. When the driver came to deliver, he knocked on the door to ask me the exact location I wanted the dumpster. It was awesome working with them.

Do Not give them a credit card or let them process the payment until you see the final invoice. Lots of surprises between the “service” and getting charged more than what the agreed quoted rate was. Appointment was rescheduled due to shortage of drivers. No phone call, guy just showed up in the morning unannounced after telling me will call you on the way. Office lady was extraordinarily rude and charged my card without showing me the invoice that included extra frivolous charges.Service: Septic system installation
