Our two Labradoodles, ages six years and five months, needed help with reliable commands, walking manners, recall, reactivity, barking, and jumping. Our older dog was also on a strict low exercise and no jumping routine due to a partial CCL tear, so we needed both dogs to listen well, especially with surgery in her future. Rhonda was amazing with both of them and took such great care of our older dog, even administering her medication as instructed by our vet.

She kept us updated with pictures and progress reports throughout training, which gave us so much peace of mind. At pickup, Rhonda walked us through everything the dogs had learned and showed us exactly how to continue their training at home. Since coming back, both dogs have been reliable and correct themselves quickly when asked. Our walks are so much more enjoyable, and our puppy has such a strong foundation. Everyone who meets him can’t believe how well trained he is. Both dogs are calm, responsive, and still their fun loving selves.

“I originally reached out to Atlantic K9 Training because my one-year-old Cane Corso/Pittie mix, Brinley, was getting a little too strong for me to handle. She’s incredibly sweet and submissive with other dogs, but she loved to jump on people and had a habit of pulling hard on the leash during walks. At 60 pounds, it was definitely a lot to manage!

From the start, Kylie and the Atlantic K9 team were amazing—professional, knowledgeable, and so caring. Brinley attended their two-week bootcamp, and I’ll admit, it was hard sending her away for that long with no visits. I was worried she might feel abandoned, but Atlantic K9 made the experience so much easier. They uploaded pictures every day of her playing with other dogs, looking happy and confident, with a smile bigger than I’ve ever seen on her. It was clear she was having the time of her life—more like a fun vacation than “training camp.”

When Brinley came home, the transformation was incredible. She has great recall, walks beautifully on leash, and I can now even let her walk off-leash with full confidence. She’s learned to stay in her “place,” respond to “no” consistently, and—best of all—she no longer jumps on people!

“This place is amazing! We brought our 6 month old Labradoodle to the HappyK-9 for Advanced Obedience Training for two reasons: to stop jumping on everyone and everything in his path…and to stop pulling my kids down the street with him while going to a leashed walk. I can easily say, money well spent. After 30days with Nelson and the crew at Happy K-9, Lucky came home like a new dog. Nelson gave us the tools to understand Lucky and how to reward, and mark his actions that we found acceptable, and to correct when he needed it. My dog will NOT jump on anything, and will NOT pull away from me any longer. I can take him to market places, my kids’ sporting events and even family trips now that he is so well behaved. It’s honestly everything that a pet owner could ask for in terms of having your dog now be able to participate in all our activities because he knows how he is expected to behave.
And what may be the most impressive part of our training experience was that several weeks after Lucky came home, the Happy K-9 team came to our home to spend the afternoon making sure we were comfortable and reinforcing all that our dog has learned. And we have a second follow-up appointment in two weeks!
Most importantly, above all else, the entire team at The Happy K9 truly cares about what they do and they dogs they work with. They are thorough, they communicate daily, and even stay on top of their Social Media game… I couldn’t be happier with what we received for service. This place is the best in the business.“

“I recently rescued a dog from Mississippi, knowing the dog had a rough start at life, was prepared for some behavioral issues/responses… however, after a few days at home and some not so great encounters with my other dogs…. I reached out to BlueDog for training, and wow…. I am so glad I did !!
my initial phone appointment with Nicole (one of the trainers) was amazing…she not only listened to my observations about the behavior… she started to build a plan, and gave me solid next steps to implement in my home right away! Her recommendation of setting up a double barrier to allow the dogs to see each other in a safe manner and on their terms was game changing!! We just completed our 1st training in person training today….and I am beyond excited and energized to keep training my dog with Nicole!
