“I graduated from NETTTS in October of 2025. Some of the best instructors, who truly want to see you succeed. They know when you need help, and when you could be working on your own. They push you towards independence even when you think you may not be ready for it. I’m now a licensed driver at 20 years old driving tri axles“

11 Macarthur Rd, Woonsocket
AMC Driving School Driving Schools

“We needed refresher lessons for our 23 year old son who has not driven in years due to anxiety and really not much of a need to drive while in college and working remotely. AMC was fantastic. They got him in immediately and got him comfortable on the road. My son felt more confident after just one 2 hour lesson. The 2nd lesson they practiced his new job commute which was so great of them. They understood what my son needed. I highly recommend this company for the great prices, fast scheduling, skill and empathy the instructor showed.“

“Edy Garcia from Garcia Driving School was great on two separate periods of time in helping two of my boys learn a lot about driving and they both passed the driving test and get their licenses on the first try. Edy has great patience with people and makes them feel relaxed and comfortable while they are learning to drive and later has them feeling confident and knowledgeable about driving safely. I recommend Garcia Driving School to anyone.“

“Looking for a driving school for your child WELL LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! We looked at several and this one is the only one who had nothing to hide, no up front fees before booking. They work around your schedule not theirs. Can schedule 7 days a week. All instructors are DMV certified. They make your child feel very calm, relaxed and confident that they will be safe drivers. Best thing they also have a road testing site just like the DMV to learn on. Jason and Danny worked with our son and they taught him, talking to him on his level, also telling Jeff he is an amazing driver. And best of all they won't take any up front money they take 1/2 first lesson to make sure your child likes them then rest on 2nd lesson. they also offer were for an extra fee you can have them pick your child up the day of their test and go over everything so your child will be confident to pass. WELL that alone is worth a million dollars, 1st your child takes their test in the car they learned to drive on, since every car is different your child will know where everything is. they are in the car with your child while taking the test, keeping them calm and telling them they got this. I could just keep going on and on but if you want the best for your child go with PVD and you won't be sorry!!! Thank you Jason and Danny for working with Jeff and yes he passed his driving test and got 100% Happy child Happy parents!!“

“I'll keep it short and sweet. The instructor is nice, as well as everyone else who had a part in running the place. Students should not stress over whether or not it is difficult. As long as you pay attention and don't goof around, you'll pass. If a student can't learn something a certain way, the instructor will work around it to ensure the student learns.***RI STUDENTS UNDER 18The people working at the RI DMV were not helpful. The process they explained to me is different than the one my instructor explained, and I've emailed the instructor with this new information to prevent confusion for other RI students.Any minor looking to get their permit MUST complete a certain permit test. This specific test must be completed either at CCRI or at the RI DMV itself. I don't know if the CCRI permit test is available to everyone or just people taking the CCRI driver's ed course. However, I can explain the process if you wish to go through only the RI DMV.To get your permit at the RI DMV without going to driver's ed at CCRI, you must first schedule a 2-hour reservation (NO WALK-INS AS OF MAY 2022). They told me to do this through their website. The reservation MUST be the "written/computerized permit test." They told me the test is NOT 2 hours long, they give you a maximum of 2 hours to complete it. Next, you go to the RI DMV, head to the second floor, and head to the check-in area. The security guard at the front door asked for something to identify me, I used my vaccination card. At the check-in area you must provide 3 things.1. The student's driver's ed certificate (Given by instructor at school)2. Proof of residence for the student. If that is not possible, proof of residence for the parent/guardian is required3. The student's birth certificate or passport (I believe they accept something else but I couldn't hear over the people next to me)This is where my RI DMV adventure ended. I assume after this you just take the permit test and then get your permit. I recommend taking the study guide they offer in case there is different material on their test.“
