I went in today for a 90 minute massage with Pamela and she was wonderful. I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and she did a great job of working out the kinks. I sometimes feel like I have to choose between working out the knots or relaxing during a massage and Pamela managed to do both and I left feeling like new. I’ll be back to see her!
I wanted to update my review as I feel that the company has gone above and beyond to make right what I get had gone wrong. I appreciate the manager, Stephanie, working with me to resolve my issues.
I am so confused by the bad reviews...I have been to four Massage Envy locations in New York and Boston and this is by far the best one. All the ladies at reception (I've never seen a guy) are SO nice. I went through a nightmare at my old Massage Envy with payment and contract issues and one of the employees called repeatedly to help me get it resolved. For the therapists...Dianne & Paul are so amazing I wish I could see them every week. I've seen several others and had good experiences except 1x when the therapist would not stop humming and I thought I was going to run out of the room. Other than that no complaints. I've had massages at several other "luxury" salons and while it is nice that they have spas to relax in before & after I find the therapists I like at Massage Envy much better (and it's nice they usually remember you). That being said, if you're interested in the "luxury" massage I don't think Massage Envy is a good option for you. What they do best are regular appointments at an extremely affordable price point. A word to the wise...if your therapist is going too hard or too soft you have to speak up. They are not mind readers. The only time I had a therapist massage so deep I actually couldn't lift my arms for a few days was my first massage in New York when I was 20 and timid.
