One of my pet peeves is when nail techs try to work on 2 customers at a time. It should be first come first serve and one at a time. This place is now known as Victoria's Nail Salon.
this place blows. they treat me like a foreigner, cold as ice. if you want to feel like an outsider in your own town then go here. not worth the price difference of going somewhere where they treat you as a normal person and not a product on an assembly line sweatshop. stay away! one star cuz I couldn't put any less.
This salon has a new name, Peacock Nails. I will never go here again!!!! I asked for a manicure and pedicure- a treat I rarely give myself. What a terrible experience. First of all, my nails look ok, but only slightly better than what I could have done myself. Second, I told them I love getting my feet massaged and the man's response was "I do the same for everyone, nobody is special". (A bit rude, but ok fair enough). He didn't even rub my feet by the way, just roughly exfoliated my calves while talking and laughing in a foreign language the whole time. Not very relaxing. Third, he made me bleed!!! (See photo). I have never had a pedicure hurt so much. He didn't even acknowledge the blood and just udoused me with polish remover. OUCH!!! Are pedicures supposed to burn?? And here's the kicker, my friends. Maybe this is common at salons but certainly not to me....they did my manicure and pedicure at the SAME TIME!! a girl stood bent over me and filed/polished my nails as I was sitting and the man was doing my feet. I questioned it but they said they do that for everyone. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. Awful. Awful. Other observations: The employee giving someone else a pedicure got up and walked outside twice to take a phone call, leaving the girl just sitting there with her feet out. Once you get put in the drying station you are pretty much dead to them. There was an older woman drying her nails when I got there and she was still waiting when I was finished 40 minutes later!!! Just being ignored. (They wrap your feet in plastic wrap so someone needs to come take it off before you leave). If you enjoy sitting in silence while all the employees talk to one another in their language, this place is for you. I was charged $35 for my "Mani/pedi" which is standard around here, but the agony and embarrassment I felt as two people were working on me at once was not worth it at all. Please, please, do not go to this salon. There's many more within driving distance that will treat you much better!!
