I had an amazing experience with Melissa. I was a first time client at the salon and will definitely be going back. She really listened to what I wanted and took aspects of my various inspo pics and combined them into a hair style I really love. She also went over common misconceptions regarding hair care and gave me so many suggestions on how to make my hair healthier!!! She took her time and made me feel so comfortable from the start, which is amazing because going to a new salon is always a little scary. I would recommend her and Avante to anyone, you won’t be disappointed:)

Had an amazing experience with Melissa D today. So my dream hair is Debby Harry, blonde on top, brown below. She delivered! And of course I had to pink it up so we did a pink toner. I’ve been a client of Melissa’s for years and have followed here to her new home. Just because she’s new to the salon doesn’t mean she’s new to hair. She’s an old hair soul. Some things I love about being in her chair:
1. The talent and hard work. She’s got both in spades.
2. Her adaptability. This goes from me being so up in the air to what I want to do, to her being like “hey if you just want to be on your phone that’s cool.” No pressure to talk but I do love talking...read full review

Melissa is such a wonderful hair stylist- I highly recommend her as a long time client. She is realistic about achieving the desired outcome. Her thoughtful approach with a consultation before starting any service is so appreciated. There are never any surprises when you get your hair done by Melissa. She will never cut more than you ask for and when it comes to color she explains the process thoroughly so you know exactly what to expect. Avante Hair Salon is beautiful, clean and conveniently located in downtown Needham. As always I am looking forward to my next service with Melissa :)
