One reviewer highlighted the compassionate care their mother received from Dr. Patel, who effectively addressed her cardiology needs. While the staff is responsive and caring, some concerns about staffing and communication have been raised, such as long hold times and lack of reminder calls. Despite these issues, many patients appreciate the team’s dedication and the quality of care provided. Overall, South Shore Internal Medicine Associates is known for its experienced physicians, responsive staff, and commitment to patient health.
I have never encountered any of the issues mentioned in the listed reviews. This office has been a Godsend for my mother who sees Dr Patel. The staff is very responsive to appointment requests , medication needs and all around kind to my mother. Dr Patel is amazing! She got to the root of my mother’s cardiology issues and she has been doing very well under Dr Patel’s care. I would recommend the office and Dr Patel to anyone.
I know they are short of staff but where do they post open positions? Is it a staffing issue or a money issue since merger with Lahey? What happened to being able to leave a message to request a call back. On hold for over 15 minutes. And why aren't reminder calls done? It can be done through a portal message, a text or an auto call which every single one of my other providers use, including my dentist and even my hairdresser. Do you depend on no shows to keep the providers on time? Love the providers and staff but something has changed and it can't just be blamed on Covid staffing issues.
phone call queues are insane in this location. Only 2-3 staff who answers the phones.. The amount of times I had to wait an hour for my turn and "somehow" i get disconnected.. Do not be surprised when the front desk hangs up on you after waiting an hour because they simply do not care...
