Unfortunately I had a hip replacement in November it dislodged January, March and April yes 3 emergency room visits and the most excruciating pain I have ever had in my life! I had to go to Boston Tufts for a “revision” to stabilize the hip which was another major surgery. Dr Mulroy never called me back I had scheduled a shoulder replacement with him which i immediately cancelled!!! He may be good for fractures or broken bones but NOT for HIP Replacements. This doctor needs to be removed and reported!!! My mother had a hip replacement November 2025. In January she was sitting in a chair and her hip dislocated, March 1 same thing happened. He refuses to contact my mother and will not let her change her doctor. Awful person who should never be in practice! Told her wrong information about her health. He does not care about his patients DO NOT CHOSE HIM AS YOUR DOCTOR!!!
I have had perhaps 5 surgeries performed by John Mulroy (knees and shoulders) and he did excellent work. I myself find his no-nonsense approach and interactions quite okay. Very skilled, w/ great hands.
One thing that has stuck in my mind is that every prediction he made ('this is how it's likely to go', 'here's what will happen after a while', 'this is the problem and the outcome if you do not address it' ...) turned out to be 100% on point.
