Began using Home Instead last year to care for my mom, who has dementia. Outstanding, professional, sensitive, reliable, dependable—far exceeded my expectations. Can't say enough good things about the company and the staff. Not only did they take excellent care of my mom, but they provided excellent service to me. The on staff nurse provided me with invaluable feedback, as did the owner. Everyone is extremely polite. Their attentive care allowed me to made decisions that vastly improved the quality and longevity of my mom's life. Thank you, thank you, Home Instead. The Melrose location (I think all offices are) independently owned. The owner, Ross, will speak with clients directly and go onsite to meet the person who needs care. The caregivers that come to the house are really nice and hand picked to match each clients needs and personality. Prices are competitive, and staff can take seniors to appts. or anywhere else they need to go—doctor, hairdresser, they even rode with my mom to the hospital when she had to go in for emergency care and stayed with her until she was settled. (I live 500 miles away.) Can't describe how comforting it was to have people taking care of my mom that I could trust, and that is located in the neighborhood. Would give a hundred stars if I could.
