I have been going to ROOTS for over 3 years now. I love walking in and not smelling the strong harmful odor of all the chemicals of a typical salon! Jenny has given me a self styling haircut that is no fuss and my hair has benefited from the natural products. My hair is softer and not as dry. Jenny is a professional and knowledgeable. Lenny the owner has been in the business for years and is passionate about his work! It is worth the little extra money due to the benefits and it lasts longer so I dont have to get my color as often so it balances out. I strongly recommend ROOTS!

Want a charming, intimate and unique experience? True to their word, I was amazed when I walked in the salon and didnt have the odor of chemicals. I sought this salon for that reason due to my concern about how all the chemicals from a traditional salon might impact my health. Jenny has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair for about 2 years now. She is kind, talented, and professional. I have long, thick curly hair and the self styling haircut she gives me allows me to roll out of bed and adjust my hair and Im out for the day. No fuss. I come to the cape every summer but this year, I had to come earlier for a funeral (which meant I didn't have time to see my usual hair dresser before heading north)...not only did Lenny (the owner) call in a hairdresser for me (Amanda) but Amanda gave me one of the best haircuts/colors l've had in years! Before I left NYC, I used to go to very high end salons...Amanda could give those guys a run for their money!
