Yo.. this place is bomb good. I go there all the time for a line up and to touch up the fade. Welsh is a master with the clippers and he knows exactly how to clean you up. They have parking to which is great. Sometimes a place can get backed up, but they do good service there. Hit them up.

25 y/o black male. I live in stoneham which is pretty much a neighborhood with predominantly whites. I've been looking for a salon that can cut my hair without giving me vegeta styled line-ups. This place is legit, not too much money and they don't expect too much tip. Not busy during mornings, very friendly and laid back barbers. This is my new spot and they def. deserve the credit.

Reference is a decent barber shop. They specialize mostly in urban/ethnic styles for men, but my barber, a pretty nice guy named Xavier/Alex, did a decent job with my "ivy league style" cut. For both business and preppy styles, I still think Razors in Somerville is best, but I'm happy with my cut (and I'm rarely happy with my cut). I rated this place A-OK (3 stars) vs 'I'm a fan' (4 stars) because they didn't have any AC on, and it was miserably hot and humid today. I sat in that chair sweating bullets. Would've went to Razors, but they had a 1+ hour wait all day. If I'm in a bind again, I'll definitely consider Alex at Reference.
