We had a precious specimen tree that had been badly pruned. Happily, Savatree's crew knew how to prune this unusual tree and it looks so much better. They exposed some of the trees structure and it looks 100% healthier. They also found an issue of branches growing together and carefully corrected it. I insisted on inspection by a certified arborist and they were able to provide one. Price was fair and competitive. Crew was profession and knew their jobs. We will definitely use them again. A+

We live in the far western suburbs of Chicago. Though we have a beautiful new home, the soil the builder built on top of was terrible... mostly clay and gravel with little for plants and trees to thrive on. Typical, right? Enter Sarah Teen and her team at SavATree. After a full season of working together our plant and tree health is finally at the level it should have been at years ago. Why? Coaching. Knowledge. I signed a $3,500 annual contract with SavATree in Lincoln to keep my lawn healthy and rich. They did the exact opposite. My lawn turned into a sand pit filled with weeds.
Their treatment cards said the lawn was “great,” but it was obvious there were major issues. When I reached out, I was told there was a fungus and that fixing it would cost extra, even though I was already paying thousands for a full-service lawn treatment program.
The situation got so bad that I had to hire another landscaper to reseed and fertilize just to undo the damage. SavATree then came and applied more fertilizer on top of that, completely over-treating the lawn. When I asked why they would knowingly do that, I was told they simply followed the original plan for the year, even if it was harmful for the lawn.
The entire purpose was to hire someone that would help me take better care of my lawn. They did not come close to doing that, they made my lawn worse, cost me even more money to fix it. Stay away if you need lawn care.

We have used SavATree several times for a variety of things. They came out to our property to make recommendations and offer advice; they evaluated and removed a large and beloved tree in front of our house; and they helped plan and plant a memorial tree to replace it.
Across the board, the folks at SavATree have been kind, informative, incredibly respectful, and welcoming. Their enthusiasm for trees is contagious. The care they put into their work is phenomenal. They were very sensitive to our sorrow over losing our old Maple tree, and they cut off specific pieces for us to save.
When we were considering a replacement tree, they offered recommendations based on what we were looking for. They were incredibly supportive and, after the tree was planted, Dean stopped by several times to check on the tree and send us updates.
We specifically enjoyed working with Dean, Colin, and Ben.
Not only would we recommend SavATree, we will definitely be reaching out to them in the future.

I will never use or refer this company again. Over 3 weeks ago we had a consultation with Savatree Sterling and wanted to move forward. We made an appointment and then the day came and no one showed up. I called every number I had then called the main number and was told they had finished for the day and we would have to be rescheduled. In what world does that happen where the customer is not called when they are on the schedule for an appointment. They were very quick to send the proposal and text/email to pay the deposit but when it came time to communicate about a schedule change nothing. This office needs a lesson or three in customer service because I will never use them again (yes we were repeat customers) or refer anyone to them again. I started calling to confirm the appointment at 130pm and was not informed until 430pm via email that no one was coming.

This is an excellent company. Provided a consultation that was quite useful regarding our trees, a responsive front office, and the technician was responsible as well as personable. I am definitely continuing with their services.
