I just spoke with the owner of Barbershop at the Depot, Elena, who has been out sick for the past month or so. She'll be back at the barbershop starting Friday, February 1st, 2019. Hooray!

Elena has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. I have (regrettably) tried many other barbers over the years, and always come back. At this point, I live 20 minutes away and always prefer to make the drive. She is thoughtful, funny, sincere and gives a great haircut. I can't recommend Elena highly enough. She is also great with kids - mine are aged 4 and 7 - patient and comforting when they get nervous; always eager to give them too many cookies and lollipops before they leave. Not only is the lady who works there one of the nicest people I've ever met, she also gave me the exact cut I asked for. A clean, quick shortening in the back while consistently asking my feedback and options to change anything. The cut cost $15 and I had $13 in cash and when I said I would run to the atm to get more she repetitively insisted that it was absurd and just took the $13. I think she might have even tried to give more back. Incredibly kind, great atmosphere. She's my new regular.
