I live alone and have required wound from over 20 surgeries in the last year and a half. I'm 74 years old and have trouble ambulating with left foot toe amputation and after latest surgery will need my tight toes removed. To be refused any home service is borderline evil. Even after heavy wound clinic and hospital recommendations. I can't even get a believable explanation! I think I at least deserve that. The we don't have to explanation rings sooo hollow.

My grandmother was held until after her insurance was switched by VNA to be kept, despite the family's wanting her back home, to pay them directly. She had a bruise, no bath and poor care at this facility.

My mother in law passed away a month ago from cancer and for 30 days she was in hospice. If any of the negative experience that, that was the most positive and maybe memorable was the care she received through here. I would also say, the care my husband and I received as well because you guys guided us through one of the most challenging time in our lives. I wish I could remember all their names, Veronica, was there on call and Sarah came more often, even when we would call for questions they were so attentive. The work you guys do is remarkable, and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for caring for her the way you guys did.

Not impressed with Care Central VNA. The clinical supervisor had called me to tell me that my father was being discharged due to non compliance. I asked if she could give him a second chance and explained to her his situation. She said he was non compliant at the hospital also and she will still continue to discharge him from the services. We had no idea that discharge could happen like this. My father refused service once, he had rescheduled another time to a different day and the other times he has been in and out of the hospital so he was not able to participate. Not to mention when called to plan an appointment it was usually the day of which is difficult for myself and also my father. My father has to plan his day accordingly due to his shortness of breath. His activity level is very low and even eating takes his strength away. I work night shift and sleep during the day. I told her I know my father is very stubborn but he really needs these services and I will talk to him and let him know the situation. I asked if she could talk to him and maybe he will understand better coming from someone else. She did talk to him. From the understanding of myself and my father they would continue services once he gets out of the hospital and is compliant. My father declined STR but was willing to have services at his house. We thought this was okay. He does better at home then in the hospital setting. So now I am sitting in the hospital with my father and being told by the social worker that care central VNA has denied my father service due to non compliance. He is also being denied by other companies that serve the Gardner area. Care central VNA should be ashamed of themselves. So much for caring about the patient. I work as a nurse myself. I try to understand people’s situations and give them chances because well no one is perfect. The fact that they could not give him a chance disgusts me and is why people have no faith in the medical system.

I've been receiving care from here for about a month and a half and I cannot say enough good things about it. From day one everyone I've come in contact with has been so nice and a lot more caring than my own Drs. From the nurses to the OT and the Telahealth nurses to the assessment nurse. I was blessed to have nurses Laura, Wendy, Krysta and occupational therapist Andrea. They made my recovery so much easier.

This place was extremely rude Called on behalf of a friend l that has been in a wheel chair 16 years. Was discharged after a few visits claiming her goals were met. while she is still wanting to walk and better herself. She was on the phone as well and was just given a rude attitude and told basically she was on her own. Sad situation is this what the medical field has become?

Worst nightmare dealing with one of clinical supervisors. She called and ordered me what to do with my loved one care based on 5 minutes of a home visiting nurse's assessment. I am a registered nurse with 30+ experience. She even said that she called a hospital to check on my loved one. Is it not a HIPP violation?

I usually don't like to leave negative reviews. My dad fell twice and had to be admitted to Heywood Hospital. I was asked if I thought having a visiting nurse come in and check on my dad when he is home a good idea. I said yes and I mentioned Care Central VNA. Well I find out this place denied the request from Heywood hospital for my dad because Care Central VNA says the situation is not a very high reimbursement. Well that completely negates their mission and vision statements on their website. So much for caring for the elderly and more for profit. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
