Gastro Health is a medical group that provides comprehensive care for gastrointestinal disorders, nutrition, and digestive health. Their team of board-certified physicians, advanced practitioners, and technicians work together to deliver quality medical and preventive care. Patients praise the thorough, compassionate, and patient-focused approach of their medical professionals, who take the time to explain procedures and results clearly. While some have experienced improvements in phone call wait times and office staff, others have faced difficulties accessing medical information. Despite this, many patients have reported positive experiences and would highly recommend Gastro Health, particularly Dr. Dickstein and Dr. Samuel Miller. The group offers a range of services, including colorectal surgery, infusion suites, diagnostic studies, medical nutrition therapy, pharmacy, and weight loss and nutrition programs.
This practice is a mess. They cannot get you in for an appointment when needed. You call the practice and get an answering system everytime. Every single time, then you wait for a call back which is often days later.
I was prescribed medication from my provider here and there was minimal follow up on how the mediation was affecting me. It ended up that the medication just kept being increased with no oversight, I got gastritis and had to get my gallbladder removed. When speaking with other providers they were shocked that my gastrointestinal doctor had not followed up regarding the mediation because a major side effect is gastritis. I had a wonderful visit at Gastro Health with Marlena Osowski, NP. The front counter staff were insanely nice and even helped with a chair lift so I could get myself and my wheelchair down to where she worked. The visit was pretty quick in a good way, she listened to all of my concerns, answered questions, and came up with a plan for moving forward.
This visit was to get an understanding of GI-related issues and I spent 15 additional minutes waiting for the specialist to see me, talked for 15 minutes, was recommended to take fiber supplements, and left. Scheduled for a follow up months later. Waste of time, extremely expensive bill for a short visit, and unhelpful recommendation. Do not visit this place for an initial specialist visit.
