I had a white throated sparrow hit my window while trying to flee a hungary hawk. I was able to save it from the hawk, but its left wing appeared to be injured from the collision. I ended up searching for a wildlife rehab and came across Judith at Cummington Wildlife. I left her a message, and she returned my call pretty quickly. I explained what happened and the general condition of the bird. I ended up driving it to her location and giving it to her. We texted back and forth afterward, and she said the birds wing was fractured, but she had splinted it, and it seemed to be doing well. She will keep it until she's satisfied that it has full functionality of its wing and will release it back to freedom.
