I had a great experience at CFD with Dr. Ishaq and the entire staff. I recently went in for a cleaning and had a couple of fillings done, and the whole process was smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Ishaq was professional, patient, and explained everything clearly, which really helped put me at ease.

The office was clean, organized, and ran on time. I would highly recommend CFD and Dr. Ishaq to anyone looking for a dentist.

Onky my first visit, but best experience that I've had in a dental office in years. Staff is friendly, coordinated, and efficient, and Dr. Ishaq showed immediate and intelligent interest in the forward planning needed for my particular situation. Cannot recommend enough.

I will be looking for another place to bring my family unfortunately. When I first started going here (close and local to home) I had to cancel last minute and was told I would be charged a cancellation fee. Ok, no problem. I get it. Never saw a bill for it or anything so I stopped thinking about it. A year or 2 goes by and I start getting collection calls. Pretty sure it was due to this cancellation fee I was never even contacted or billed for. When we started having my kids go here, sure enough, they still have this on my account. They were kind enough to take it off and clear the balance, but why would you never even try contacting me outside of the office?

One of the next times my kids had an appointment there, I think they had moved my appointment a little earlier, but then one of my kids didn’t get off the bus after school so I was a little panicked trying to track them down and make sure I knew where they were. Showed up to the appointment like maybe 5-10 minutes later than whatever time they moved us to and the kid behind the desk tells me they’re probably going to have to charge me a late fee and they may not even be able to keep the appointments! Excuse me!? They kept the appointments, but that really put a bad taste in my mouth.

Fast forward to last month during February break and my husband specifically booked the kids appointments for that week because he’s a teacher and was also home. The dentist was an hour late getting to the office for their appointments. One of the kids needed to come back for a couple fillings, so that was booked later that same week. Great! (Just kidding… it was cancelled because the dentist wasn’t coming in that day). So, here we are coming up on the rescheduled appointment on 3/12 and after confirming my appointment I get a call from the office asking if I can bring him in earlier than the scheduled time (this happens quite regularly). Told them I can’t do the times they gave me because of when the school bus comes, so the took the time I told them I could get there (only about 20 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.)

I’m starting to feel like the dentist(s) there don’t want to work or something? After this latest reschedule I think I’ll be looking for somewhere else to go. And if I’m told we’ll be charged a late charge because the bus runs late or something… I just might lose it.

Wouldn’t recommend unless you like being rescheduled all the time… or maybe cancelled altogether.

I had a filling done last year. I still get pain where the cavity was. I went back to have the tooth checked. I went today for a cleaning. I had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago. No one told me I need a doctor's clearance for a cleaning. I was berated several times for not knowing and that I didn't read the release statement from the orthopedic surgeon. I was told several times I should know better. And told me I probably didn't read the release by the hygienist. The hygienist and dentist were in a tizzy. I'd rather let my teeth rot than go back. I was told my mouth guard was paid for by the other dentist. It's not. Argued I was wrong. It's NOT a friendly place.

OMG! I was having a HARD TIME finding a dentist who accepted my insurance and who was also NOT affiliated with Aspen Dental or any other large dental chains.
I found this gem of a place and it's only 11 minutes from my house. I have had about $35,000 (yes thousands) of dental work and I still cannot stand it.
The hygienist (forget first name, middle name is Lane) is the best I've ever had and I've had no less than 30 in my life.
The receptionist (sorry if the title is different) are very funny, friendly and entertaining.
I am ALWAYS taken in on time. They answer all of my silly questions and don't even laugh at me for asking, lol.
I'm so, so happy I found my forever dentist.

I was charged for services that were not done and when I contested I was told that they would look into it and call me back. They didn't. This happened two more times and still they never called me back. Then they referred my bill to a collection agency. I am still trying to get the charges removed.

This in regards of Periodontist Dr. Raymond Dempsey:

A visiting Periodontist at my dentist office in Paxton quoted me $20K for gum grafting and didn't take my dental insurance.. HOLY %$&#!!

I saw Dr Dempsey for a 2nd opinion. He took a look and said it wasn't THAT bad. What I have and will need upcoming, is only a few hundred dollars out of pocket with insurance. (WHEW!)

He's very nice and has a pleasant and patient demeanor. Clarifies everything without making you feel like a big dummy or rushed!

My first impression of him is I thought he'd make a great teacher/instructor. Reading into his background, he taught at Harvard Medical in the past.

He's a visiting doctor, and he floats to a few different locations. So, if you can't get a reasonable appt in Charlton, inquire about his other locations.

I don't review drs typically, but I have to give him his props!
