In 1955 SMMA pioneered an approach that integrates architecture, engineering, and planning to create a continuous dialogue among disciplines. We seek diversity of perspectives to achieve the truest solution in every aspect of what we do, developing places that are smarter, more elegant, and more perfect for the people who use them. SMMA has been in continuous operation in Cambridge, MA for 70 years, with additional offices in Providence, RI (since 2007) and Manchester, NH (since 2025).
