Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a Level 1 trauma center, and does liver and kidney transplants. They have primary care and specialty practices within the campus and in many surrounding buildings. The ER was enlarged about 10 years ago but is almost always on overflow status. The quality of the care depends on the individual physician.

I stayed here for a week I found the nurse and staff very nice I was cna were friendly only thing is I wish staff could wake up without poking, but I found this at many other hospitals

Most know if their issues are ER necessary or not, but the evening staff consistently claims to not "know anything" about a wait time guess to see a doctor already having waited to check in or just waiting. ER's like Newton Wellesley, Emerson, etc. often accurately know the hour estimate in a courteous tone. For a second time she might put your call on hold if you ask just one too many questions about wait times abruptly to answer an "ambulance call" - whether true or not, knowing a thing or two of how some things work behind the scenes, whether your loved one is struggling with their own conditions like everyone else. They also don't like being asked if they could guess how many were loudly called in, but "it's not their job" to count. Last time I said so they might sleep there overnight and the woman responded in a snooty say "uh huh".
