Review from 3 years ago - Got my new glasses yesterday. I love them. They're brown (even though some of the photos look black). Paul Fox, of Spectacle eyeware in the South End of Boston, encompasses all the traits of a successful business owner. From a Sociology of Business point of view, he is friendly, confident, knowledgeable, independent (forget corporate businesses), generous, loves to help and most importantly he has true talent in picking the right frames for you, some of which he has designed himself. How many of you are walking around with the wrong frames? Go see Paul and have him pick out the best frames for your face! Love going to see Paul at Spectacle! He has such great taste and patience. And he always takes a great photo of me and my husband. So good in fact that I've been using them for Christmas cards!
I’ve been wearing glasses for 40 years and I’ve never had more fun buying glasses before! Paul is a true renaissance man- funny, smart, a whiz at suggesting the perfect frames for me, a musician, fAmily man, and awfully cute! I ordered my pair back in February pre- covid. Was only able to get back into Boston from Maine yesterday and he recognized me immediately and even remembered my name... 6 months later! The glasses are perfect- best progressives I’ve ever had, and look great( ps he did offer to ship them to me when ready but I wanted to get back in person) hmmmm.... maybe I’ll have to step on them to get back in a third time!🤣
