Great service, thoroughly modern top-of-the-line equipment housed in a charming brownstone. Everyone was great, knowledgeable, and gave options so I never felt pressured to take an extra test or update glasses lens like I have with other eye care businesses. Covid protocol was easy AND all ‘paperwork’ is filled out ahead of time on an app. I hate filling out paperwork in the waiting area even in non-pandemic times.
And, this is my quirk, they did NOT knock or complain about the work my previous provider did; indeed they complimented the optician on my tricky frame fit. I hate when providers - stylists, dentists, doctors, etc - bash on previous providers in a purely negative way instead of just being honest that the work wasn’t up to their standards. I think it speaks volumes how this can be handled and South End Eye was lovely in this regard.
