Shawmut Place is the best tailor in the South End. I brought in a suit for alterations and the team did an incredible job — the fit is perfect and the workmanship is clean and precise. Turnaround was wicked fast, pricing was fair for Boston, and everyone there was kind and professional the whole way through. If you need a tailor for suit alterations or dry cleaning in Boston, this is the place. I'll be back for all my tailoring.
My favorite neighborhood tailor and dry cleaner! Everyone here is so lovely, dry cleaning and tailor quality are fantastic and prices are the best in the area. I had a pair of tan slacks with stains that another dry cleaner couldn’t get out, and they were able to do it! I also brought in a dance competition dress for a tricky alteration, and they were able to do it perfectly. Thank you so much!! Will continue to be back multiple times a week!
I have been going to Shawmut Place for over 4 years now for both my dry cleaning and any alterations and tailoring. I have had them alter several expensive designer dresses for me and they always come back perfect! Most recently, I brought a dress that I thought was ruined by a spray tan and the owner spent the time to find a specialty dry cleaner who could fix what I thought was a ruined dress! I highly recommend Shawmut Place - such great service!
