About Ryan Center for Sports Medicine
The Ryan Center for Sports Medicine receives reviews highlighting both excellent care and significant shortcomings. Many patients report very positive experiences with the quality of care from specific providers, describing them as awesome, super kind, patient, nonjudgmental, and excellent. Several mention feeling very seen and helped so much through injuries, with one patient noting a five-year positive history. Front desk staff receive mixed feedback; some are described as wonderful, great, and showing compassion, while others are criticized as rude, callous, and completely unprofessional. However, other experiences are subpar and disheartening. Criticisms include extremely long wait times, with one elderly patient waiting over two and a half hours. Some providers are described as dismissive, showing little interest, and spending less than ten minutes with a patient after the long wait. There are reports of a lack of detailed discussion, a quick wrap-up of appointments when treatment is declined, and a failure to coordinate basic needs like patient transportation. This has led to concern about the standard of care, particularly for elderly patients. The overall impression is inconsistent, with the center providing both one-of-a-kind positive experiences and shockingly poor ones.
Cannot complain at all about the quality of care or providers that I interacted with here - 10/10! However, 4/5 stars because the women at reception were not only rude but also callous. Was spoken to far too loudly/sternly to move to another counter which was completely out of vision, was confused for a moment and the other younger women started chuckling / discussing LOUDLY how absurd it was that I was confused. Completely unprofessional secretaries.
My 80+ year old mother visited this center today for an appointment with Dr. Xinning Li. Despite arriving 1 hour early, she was not taken to a room until 2 hours after her scheduled appointment time, and then waited an additional 30 minutes for Dr. Li to arrive.
Dr. Li asked my mom a few questions about her pain, took a brief look at her x-rays, and offered her a steroid injection without providing any diagnosis or discussing the x-ray findings in detail. When my mom declined the injection, Dr. Li quickly wrapped up the appointment, showing little interest in listening to her concerns. I intervened to advocate for my mom and ask questions, at which point Dr. Li...read full review
Cameo just did my X-ray and she was awesome. I don’t think I waited 1 minute before she greeted me and got me to the room. The whole procedure took no time at all and she answered my questions and was super kind. Excellent experience!
