New England Eye Center is a large ophthalmology practice with its main office in Boston and seven additional locations in Eastern Massachusetts. The center offers a full range of comprehensive eye care services for both adults and children. Patients come to New England Eye Center from all over New England and even internationally to see their specialists. The Boston office has a team of technicians who are described as phenomenal and patient, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed during their visit. Some patients have expressed concern about the availability of wheelchairs for handicapped patients. Patients have praised Dr. Peter Zhao for his thoroughness, compassion, and willingness to answer all their questions. They have highlighted his technical skill and ability to calm nerves, particularly during pre- and post-operative visits. Dr. Zhao is considered one of the best eye surgeons in the area. However, some patients have expressed sadness over the departure of Dr. Reisman and stated they won't return to see other doctors at the center. There have also been reports of scheduling errors.
Brought my Mom in for some diagnostics. Our tech, Sandra A., was phenomenal. She was extremely patient with my limited mobility mother and spent as much time as my Mom needed to feel comfortable and informed regarding treatment. Sandra’s professionalism offset the fact that Tufts didn’t have any wheelchairs available for handicapped patients. If it were not for our incredible tech, this review would have only warranted 2 stars.
Dr. Peter ZhaoAn emergency issue with my eye had me going to NEEC for treatment. My surgery was done, not once but twice, largely in part to the severity of the problem.. When booking a F/u I was told 10wks out because my surgeon was no longer with NEEC, but saw patients 1x per month. Not happy.I was referred to Dr. Peter Zhao. This referral turned out to be the BEST part of my whole optical experience. Apprehensive at first about a new Doctor these worries disappeared upon meeting him. He is through, compassionate, listens to your concerns and answers all your questions. I was very attached to Dr Reisman and will miss him. I don't believe I will return to see anyone else.However, I received a phone message today about an appointment for 23 MAY,which I do not have. Check you records for who does have an appointment for that day
