Its a great resource for the entire city for seniors. Vitally important for the aging "boomers" generation, especially as some have become isolated and on their own. Just to have someone to develop a friend type relationship with, to have them drop by to just say hi, share a coffee or a story.. Increasingly so in these times where isolation is increasing dramatically, both due to the pandemic social distancing and in general for those that don't have family at all, or family they don't see that often, or friends, etc etc. This organization fulfills a vital role in our community and even some of the greater Boston metro areas.

Lovely orgabuzatiot helped in my past job as a Senior Resident Service Coordinator to place area college students with lonely seniors living in family/senior housing in Boston communities.

This group does the work of the angels. We've known the founder and executive director for many years. Janet has dedicated herself to supporting the most vulnerable people in our society. We've seen firsthand, with relatives and friends, the profound difference they can make in peoples' lives. Their friendly visitor program and other services are lifelines for lonely elders. This is a true local, grassroots nonprofit serving the needs of its community. We cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone who needs their services or wants to support their essential work.
