About Equinox Franklin Street
Equinox Franklin Street is a premier fitness club that offers an unparalleled member experience. The facility boasts innovative programming, rejuvenating amenities, and renowned instruction, creating extraordinary results for its members. The men's locker room has a unique, Blade Runner-esque atmosphere, though some members found it intimidating to navigate at first. The club is well-equipped with a vast array of cardio and weight-training equipment, as well as ample space for stretching. Trainers and advisors are known for their friendly and helpful demeanor, with Celia Fleckner being particularly praised as an outstanding membership advisor. While the club is on the pricier side, members appreciate the overall cleanliness and quality of the facilities. However, some areas for improvement include the volume of the music, limited squat rack availability, and the inconvenience of equipment being spread across two floors. Overall, Equinox Franklin Street offers a comprehensive and high-end fitness experience for its members.
Definitely one of the most unique Equinox's I've been too. The men's locker room downstairs is something out of Bladerunner. I was actually intimidated by it. I actually had a hard time finding the entrance and had to walk around the footprint of the building it was located in. Otherwise, the facilities and the equipment is pretty typical of Equinox.
Excellent sports club with a lot of equipment and fun classes. All trainers and advisor are very friendly. I recommend you contact Celia Fleckner, who has been an amazing membership advisor for me.
If this gym were cheaper I'd give it 4 stars, but due to the expense it's 5. I actually get a discount since I work in the building. I can use this one and the Dartmouth one on the weekends. What's good: - Very clean, both locker rooms and floor. - Lots of cardio equipment on both levels. - enough places to stretch out. - Weights of all sizes which is good for us ladies. What's not good: - Music is LOUD. Yet, everyone has air pods in. Who is listening to the music? Turn it down. - Not enough squat racks. One downstairs, and 3 upstairs. Always full. Need more space for olympic bars. - Hard to use TRX. It's either in the workout studio which has classes or there is 1 downstairs but in between other equipment. - Locker rooms are so crowded in the morning and HOT. So hot. Getting ready in a sauna pracitcally. Locker room is 20 degrees warmer than the workout floor. - Two floors is inconvienent. Not all equipment is on the each floor so you end up going up and downstairs a lot. I have not done personal training.
