King's Tailor & Alterations is a trusted local shop known for its skilled work and fair prices. Customers appreciate the owner's friendliness and quick service, whether for hemming pants, altering dresses, or adding custom details to clothing. The shop has a good reputation for making clothes fit well and extending the life of favorite garments, some of which are many years old. Though hours may vary, the quality of work and customer satisfaction remain consistent. The shop accepts cash only, but many find their services worth the visit. Located now in Pomeroy, it continues to be a go-to place for reliable tailoring and alterations.
I am a repeat customer. King's Tailor keeps two of my favorite coats (25 years old and 15 years old) going strong. Also a favorite sweater of mine(25 years old). The shop used to be in the Carriage Shops in downtown Amherst, but now in Pomeroy.
Came here to get alterations on a couple dresses (one hemmed and one altered). She seems quite skilled as I couldn’t even tell where she had made the alterations. Hours are not accurate and should be updated, as she closes on 5pm during weekdays and is not open on Saturdays.
Ever since I discovered this place, this has been my go - to for getting my clothes fitting nicely. I find the prices to be fair and the owner really knows what's she's doing. I've been here many a time. Money well spent, Thank you Kings!
