My mother in law had a 10 year old yellow lab (Harley) that went downhill very fast this past Friday. Although her dog was not regularly seen by this vet, all of our dog are seen here. The vet agreed to examine the Harley Saturday morning which she confirmed what we unfortunately thought what needed to happen. The lab( Harley ) had a grapefruit size tumor in her stomach and she had major neurological issues going on. We knew it was time to remove her pain.
Plains Veterinary Hospital showed tremendous compassion, thoughtfulness and they made themselves available to use immediately.

My cat Max has a uti. I called late in the day and asked if they could see him. The ladies at the front desk told me to bring him right in as they were booked for the day. Dr. Blair and her veterinarian assistant took such great care of Max. Ran the needed tests explained what was wrong suggested a special diet, told me about each of the medications I would need to give him. All in all a great experience for me and the patient. Max is a one persons cat he has separation anxiety. The Dr and her assistant soothed him and made this a pleasurable experience for him. The clinic now has a new patient!
These people are awesome. I had never been here before yet I called to see if the doctor would stay over for me and she did! On a Saturday! She did charge me a emergency fee but so what it was awesome and the emergency fee was only like $120.00! The visit on a Saturday was only $60.00! Turns out my dog just had allergies but she checked him over really well and did blood work and tested for heart worms! I will surely bring him back!
