About Animal Health Center
Animal Health Center has been providing compassionate veterinary services in Shreveport, Louisiana, since 1993. The clinic is dedicated to offering quality care for pets, including medical, surgical, and dental services, ensuring that pets remain healthy. They emphasize the importance of treating pets as family members and encourage pet owners to trust their experienced staff by scheduling appointments. Many customers appreciate the friendly and prompt service at Animal Health Center. One reviewer expressed gratitude for the care provided to a beloved pet, highlighting the clinic's affordability and helpfulness. This positive sentiment indicates that the staff is supportive and attentive to the emotional needs of pet owners during difficult times. However, some reviews reflect concerns about the service quality. A customer described a distressing experience where they felt rushed during a critical visit with their ailing pet. The veterinarian's repeated comments about the clinic closing soon and the lack of overtime pay for staff created a perception of insensitivity during an emotionally charged situation. This reviewer ended up needing to take their pet to an emergency veterinary hospital for further care, which left them feeling dissatisfied with the level of assistance received at Animal Health Center. Overall, while many appreciate the clinic's affordability and care, there are critiques regarding the bedside manner and attentiveness of the staff during urgent situations. Prospective clients may want to consider these experiences when seeking veterinary services for their pets.
I just want to thank Animal Health Center for taking care of my sister's Fur Baby. My sister was VERY emotional this morning about her "son". My sister wants to thank Animal Health Center for being so nice, friendly, prompt, affordable, and extremely helpful! Animal Health Center CARES! Please, anyone who needs their fur baby taken care of, take your fur babies to Animal Health Center for all veterinarian needs!
Was rushed by the doctor, by him telling my neice, my nephew, my youngest son, myself and our dying German Shepherd furr baby, that they were closing in 4 minutes and his staff does not get paid overtime. Can we all pause just a moment to absorb the sheer audacity of the veterinarian, during a VERY emotional ? trip to that place with my 110-lb furr baby that had ALREADY lost all energy to EVEN walk on her own!!!??? And if that were not enough of a red flag, he mentioned that very same topic 2 more times during the course of that 13 minute visit... JUST for the doctor to tell us the emergency vet hospital on Line Ave opens just within minutes of us having to leave his facility. Which, BTW, is where my neice and myself ended up being forced to take my beautiful furr baby to be euthanized, after her condition worsened dramatically overnight, after said doctor at this facility refused to care for or give any helpful answers to aid my dying, amazingly cherished furr daughter!? End story, I paid this person for the few tests performed and for the visit, which in comparison to the 4 other vets I called in the area, were cheaper in price; \"GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR\"...guess some things NEVER die out? Ultimately, 3 ⭐ for the price scale, not for bedside manner, nor helpfulness, nor friendlessness of staff.
