It was an ok place, but since the only barber there can't cut African American hair, he told me to check out another place on Island Rd. So, y'all check it out and see it.

Clipper is an excellent barber and the shop wall is covered with stories from travel reporters who covered his business. He is a helpful resource when you're looking for a plumber or have a fishing question. Worth the visit for any tourist and a great asset to the people in the False River community. Drop in and tell him hello.

Yes, I do live in Baton Rouge but I do the drive to New Roads to have my haircuts and bear trimmings at Clippers. Is he that good? Well, why else would I drive the distance? Met him through my "old barber" Francis Labatout who turned the business facility to Clipper. The rest is history. Ten years without a failure and have not allowed another barber to touch my hair no matter where I was and needed one!! Great cuts, atmosphere, conversations and quality. Small town feeling with a great cut!! The old saying: "Try it, you'd Like It"!!

Your ideal small town barber! I've been coming since my first haircut - and my kids' first haircuts, too! (He gives certificates ? to toddlers for their first haircut) Clipper and Matt are a cut above. They also give great beard trims, too. I think a haircut costs under $15, but I usually tip up to $20 ... am I the only one who does that? They're worth it!
