Russell Templet isn't just a barber, he is an artisan. Getting a good haircut can be a challenge for me because I have an oddly shaped head in addition to thick hair that does whatever it wants. When I got my haircut for the first time with Russell, he looked at my hair and described exactly what I just mentioned. I've often had to get a few haircuts before those cutting my hair figure out what I want and what looks good on me. He got it on the first glance and every haircut has been terrific! This man has been cutting hair in the neighborhood for 50 years, so you get great conversation along with the local history. Mr. Russell does a great job cutting hair. He cuts my fiancé's hair - Russell is the only one he'll trust to do it "just so" - and I love going along when he's getting a haircut just to hear the stories that he and his wife tell, and to play fetch with the cute little dog. He's even cut my hair a couple of times, and I definitely have no complaints! My advice - which is pretty much the same as other reviewers' - call first to make sure that he's open.

Great old fashioned barbershop. I stopped by after moving to the neighborhood. Russell and his wife Sharon were extremely friendly and told me stories about the area and gave recommendations of places to go and restaurants to eat at. Russell gave me a great haircut for $14. If you are new to the area need a barber give Russell a try.
