He was genuinely interested in my injuries and allowed me & my fiancé time to talk about what I’ve been dealing with, my journey, and gave me time and space to ask all the questions I had. Even though I was there for just a NCS, he still showed genuine interest in my journey and gave many recommendations on potential treatments. And having had a previous very unpleasant NCS elsewhere, Dr. Troy’s bedside manner was 10 Stars. He was very gentle and made me as comfortable as possible though-out the test. “Could not highly enough recommend Dr. Lafaye. After several appointments and ignored neuro symptoms from the ER, urgent care, and my PCP, I was finally admitted to the hospital and discharged with orders to follow up with a neurologist. My diagnosis was questionable. We chose Tulane Neurosciences. Dr. Lafaye was so thorough with my case and supportive through a very scary ordeal. On my first visit with her as a hospital discharge follow up, she felt my diagnosis may not be correct and recommended that I return to the hospital. She even spoke with the Neurologist to ensure I received the care I needed. Thankfully, I ended up getting the right diagnosis of Guillian Barre and receiving the correct treatment and I am on the mend! Through my follow ups, she has been honest and supportive of my choices.
