Great vibe. Excellent customer service. Went in for a NOLA mother's day gift for my wife and wound up buying a book for her based on the recommendation of the gentleman at the counter. She's excited to read about Louis Armstrong's life in New Orleans and I'll be back for a shirt. Lots of cool stuff.

Louisiana Music Factory is on the edge of the French Quarter. If you drive parking isn’t easy and the neighborhood is about like you’d expect for that section of town. But it’s worth the effort to get in there. They have a great selection of local music and lots of cds vinyl and DVDs. The nice thing about the vinyl is that they do have new items but even more used. And the used selections are fairly priced. They of course have a large jazz selection but also country, rock, soul, folk, and blues.

Noticed this shop while returning from the Jazz Festival, I couldn't do anything other then visit it the next day. Very friendly staff and a great collection of local and international music at the corner where most visitors won't really go but they're wrong.
