About Lauricella & Sons

Lauricella & Sons: Three Generations of Foundation Expertise Lauricella & Sons has been the go-to choice for homeowners in need of foundation repairs and renovations for three generations. Specializing in older, raised homes, this family-owned business offers a wide range of services, including shoring and leveling, sill replacement, joist replacement, termite damage repairs, rotted bathroom floor repair and replacement, as well as the repair of all types of brick, cement, and wooden porch structures. According to customers, David Lauricella and his team are true "house doctors" when it comes to foundations. One homeowner, who had contracted their services seven years ago to fix deteriorating floorboards, was impressed by their expertise in diagnosing and resolving more complex issues. The customer's middle pier under the living room was collapsing, and a new bathroom built 13 years prior had never been properly supported, causing it to sink. Lauricella's team added the necessary support and stabilized the structure, preventing further damage. Customers appreciate Lauricella & Sons' straightforward approach and commitment to recommending the necessary repairs, even if it means postponing more cosmetic renovations. As one customer noted, "David Lauricella is a straight shooter, will work with your concerns but always will recommend the necessary, or what will make it last longer till there can be a time to fully replace, he doesn't cut corners." The company's expertise and attention to detail have earned them a loyal following. When one customer reached out for additional work on their front entry platform, stairs, and rear deck, Lauricella remembered the customer from their previous project, as if they had "only just seen each other yesterday." During the inspection, the team discovered a hidden issue – a small leak from the customer's bathtub had been slowly damaging the home's century-old sill for over 17 years, causing significant structural damage that had gone unnoticed by other contractors. Customers praise Lauricella & Sons' professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to providing the best possible solution, even if it means postponing other planned renovations to address more pressing foundation issues. As one customer remarked, "While we hate hearing bad news from a doctor, when it's the right doctor, your best options and best procedures for full recovery are available, and your best odds are in play." Whether it's a new homeowner seeking an assessment of their property's foundation or a long-time customer in need of extensive repairs, Lauricella & Sons has earned a reputation as the trusted "house doctors" for foundations in the local community. With their family-run business, custom-milled lumber, and hands-on approach, they are uniquely equipped to tackle even the most challenging foundation projects, ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of their clients' homes.

David Lauricella & Sons is the house doctor of foundations. I had contracted his services 7 years ago to fix some floorboards that had deteriorated. Well my middle pier under the living room was collapsing and the new bathroom that was built 13 years prior had never been supported. He added support and locked it in so it would not sink any further..Know that ***** ********** is a straight shooter, will work with your concerns but always will recommend the necessary, or what will make it last longer till there can be a time to fully replace, he doesnt cut corners. So when I reached out to him this time he remembered me right away; it was as if we had only just seen each other yesterday.. My front **************, stairs and rear deck had been wearing down for yours and I knew it was just a matter of time before it collapsed. ***** came out to look it over and started discussing options and prices on the work. As we were wrapping it up he wanted to check on his previous work, but looked at it from the opposite side they had worked on. Alas he found a problem; a small leak from my bathtub that had existed for over 17 years had worked its way into an old never repaired old termite damage joist that trickled through the inside of the sill. Well the sill started dissolving in his hand, he then proceeded to go under and trace the damage. My one side of the house was pretty damaged and the house had pressed down 2 inches into the sill. All the termite inspectors, plumbers ,electricians and contractors that had been under my house none noticed it. They had my house suspended while I was inside working, never realizing the old sill was pulled out and jacks strategically placed holding up my house.. When I saw them later they had big smiles on their faces; they do love their job and they are really really good at it. So we never like seeing the doctor but for ones health its best you do, and you could not ask for more nicer capable guys than Lauricella & Sons.

David Lauricella and Sons is the house doctor of foundations. I had contracted his services 7 years ago to fix some floorboards that had deteriorated. But like visiting a doctor you go in to see them for one thing and they find something entirely different. My middle pier under the living room was collapsing. He showed it to me, his explanations were like a teacher born full of true experience. And the new bathroom that was built 13 years prior had never been supported so its sinking made sense. He added support and locked it in so it would sink no further (too late to lift back up that part of the house for it had settled into that posture, and lifting it to make the floor level would be breaking every door, wall and ceiling). So the hard part is always fixing critical structures of your house rather than fun renovations, yet David Lauricella is a straight shooter, will work with your concerns but always will recommend the necessary, the make it last longer till there can be a time to fully replace, but will only do the work if it makes sense, he doesn't cut corners on something so important as the foundation of your house. Well finding someone this good and this trustworthy is a hard thing. So when I reached out to him I was lucky enough indeed; he was on a break between plantation renovation projects. He remembered me right away; it was as if we had only just seen each other yesterday.. My front entry platform and stairs had been wearing down for yours and I knew it was just a matter of time before it collapsed, same with my back deck. David came out to look it over and started discussing options and prices on the work. As we were wrapping it up he wanted to check his previous work, but looked at it from the opposite side they had worked on. Alas he found a problem. Remember he's the house doctor of foundations. My original sill (my house is over 100 years old, but has had many modernizations, and updates done, especially after Katrina). Well a small leak from my bathtub that had existed for over 17 years had worked its way into an old never repaired old termite damage joist that trickled through the inside of the sill, and this drip drip rate softened and damaged the wood that was from the mid to late 1800s. Well the sill started dissolving in his hand, he then proceeded to go under and trace the damage. My one side of the house was pretty damaged and the house had pressed down 2 inches into the sill. It was a ticking time bomb. All the termite inspectors, plumbers ,electricians and contractors that had been under my house none noticed it. Well my priorities changed, the sill work became top priority as my house could collapse at some point. Needless to say the back deck and front entry work had to be postponed. Some shoring up for a few steps and key rotten pieces would be replaced thereby extending their life, so that it could be revisited several years from now allowing me to save up again for the next work. While we hate hearing bad news from a doctor, when it's the right doctor your best options and best procedures for full recovery are available and your best odds are in play. So for peace of mind call David Lauricella and Sons for even just a checkup, know your house rests on solid foundation, solid piers, and if they are not they are the guys who can best fix it, family run, mill their own lumber and fit the pieces needed no matter how old or unusual your house. The whole family is lovely to talk to, David is very happy to explain as well show and teach you what they are doing, and how balancing a house while swapping out pieces really works. They had my house suspended while I was inside working, never realizing the old sill was pulled out and jacks strategically placed holding up my house.. Only to see it later and ask them when did you guys sneak it in. I never felt, and the smile on their faces shows they love their job and they are really really good at it. So we never like seeing the doctor but for one's health it's best you do, and you could not ask for more nicer capable guys t

Our hallway flooring had a dip that was progressively getting worse, and, as a new homeowner, I was definitely panic-spiraling on what the issue might be and where to begin to resolve. Adding to the issue, the beams under our house are treated and covered in an insulation, so you can't see the beam without removing it. We had a few companies come out to assess, but they, understandably, wouldn't give an assessment of the issue until we had someone remove the insulation. I don't recall how I got Mr David's number, but I am so happy I did. He came out within days of me initially reaching out, quickly assessed what he deduced (he's being doing this for like 50 years) the issue was, and recommended a solution to fix the dip and prevent further foundational issues. His company stays very busy, so he said he would get back to me with a date to start after his current project wrapped up. As luck would have it, the next week they had weather delays for that job, and Mr David reached out immediately to see if they could start the next day! Him and Dave were so great to work with, completed on budget, on schedule and did an amazing job. I can walk down my hall again without anxiety of falling through the floor! I pray I never need Mr David's foundational expertise again, but I would hire Lauricella & Sons again in a heartbeat!
