Was in town for the weekend when we discovered my friend’s dog had detached the rubber heel from the only pair of boots I brought and decided to use it as a chew toy ? Brought my boot to this shop at noon on a Saturday hoping for a miracle since the shop closed at 3pm that day and would be closed on Sunday. I had a seam on my leather boots that needed to be repaired. It was done quickly and well. Pricing was also very fair. And just a heads up, there is also a shoe repair across the street that doesn’t seem to be listed on Google maps. I think some of the negative reviews posted about Garden District Shoe Repair are for that shop. I have had shoes go missing at that shop but never at this one.
Great work, fast turnaround. Don't go to the place across the street, I made that mistake once. This is the stand alone shop that looks like a house. Also, some of these negative reviews look like they're upset because he told them something they didn't want to hear, rather than the honest assessment they got. That's on them. Was it expensive? Kind of but you get quality materials with quality craftsmanship that still costs less than replacing a pair of quality shoes. So, there's that.
