My first visit to this office was pretty awful after not having seen an MD in many years- one nurse was training and the trainer was short and not at all hospitable, encroaching into rude at times and couldn't be bothered with any question I had, again a LOT has changed since I last had a steady physician. I stopped asking questions and just ground my teeth until it was over.
During the second appointment, however, the person who was training was now running the show and was amazingly comfortable, kind, and changed my mind entirely. I might have caught the trainer on a bad day at first, but it almost made me search entirely for a new practice.
I’ve been a patient since 2016 for my primary care and mental health. It’s a busy clinic, and while it can sometimes be a little while before my next appointment, I’ve never had any issue reaching my providers for care through the patient portal if something was truly urgent.If you’re a new patient looking to establish care and the next available appointment is a ways off, trust me, it’s worth it.Also, I’ve had friends who couldn’t afford care for whatever reason, and they’ve never been turned away.CrescentCare’s approach to care has truly been a lifesaver for me.

I have been a patient here for 7 years. Dr. Danis Walker is the absolute best doctor. She makes me feel heard and safe, is extremely knowledgeable, and always goes above and beyond. Dr. Montegudo is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever had. She is an expert and is extremely caring. Our appointments are thorough and I never feel rushed or uncared for. I recently made an appointment for assistance in signing up for Medicaid because I had been denied when applying on my own. The process was so easy and quick. Everyone one who works at Crescent Care is professional, kind, and intelligent. Thank you Crescent Care for all that you do for the people of New Orleans!
