The previous reviews that brought us to Gene’s were spot on. After giving up fighting the mob at the LSU Ag Center plant sale, we opted to go to Gene’s, and left with a vehicle full of assorted plants. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, even though (I thought I heard) the owner and several employees were at the LSU event. We were especially impressed with how knowledgeable the lady helping us was, and also by how healthy their plants were. As our weather has been so variable over the past several years, it was so helpful to have her tell us which plants had survived the snow and ice storms and which ones didn’t.
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly people! The selection is great and they have something for everyone, plant nerds to new plant people. Definitely buy from this family run nursery!
