This place sucks since Dr.Aubin left! My daughter has been struggling ever since he left last May! The new Dr does not listen and does not care!! Then they wait till you show up for an appointment then tell you that they don’t take your insurance anymore and just leave you with no meds and no Doctor!! Worse experience EVER!!!

I had a pretty upsetting experience with Kathleen Boudreaux. My virtual visit started 45 minutes late (after calling to confirm she was still coming) which was a bit difficult in itself but I was patient. When the appointment began, she asked how I was doing, and I answered honestly that I was feeling very anxious. I don’t think she liked that answer and did not respond to it.. She often spoke over me, and when I continued talking, she raised her voice and then accused me of being defensive. When she said I was being defensive, it was in response to her asking how often I take my medicine. I was simply trying to answer honestly, but because my brain works differently (I am probably lvl 1 autistic and am often misunderstood) my answer didn’t fit the way she expected. When I told her I was autistic or that I was anxious, she didn’t seem to want me to elaborate further, so I answered as honestly as I could under the circumstances. I was not being defensive. I was just trying to respond clearly while navigating the anxiety, heart palpitations, and emotional flashbacks her behavior was causing. She was dismissive and very rough in her tone from the start. I shared my existing diagnoses from providers who know me well, but she tried to change them without listening to my history or perspective. I also mentioned that I believe I may be autistic level 1, and she brushed that off completely. She didn’t even ask why I believed it. Throughout the visit, she just didn’t seem to hear me, minimized what I said, and caused me to feel even more anxious and unsafe. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a provider. I left the call shaken up with heightened anxiety and flashbacks from past trauma. Patients deserve to be listened to and treated with compassion, and I did not experience that here. I was honestly traumatized from this meeting. I want to add that Dr. Bourgeois was amazing and actually listened to me. Y’all really lost a good one.

We had a great experience here on Floor 7…the stroke floor. Dr. Shail Thanki treated my son for a vascular neurology condition (CVST). He was fantastic.

I am very careful about choosing providers after bad experiences. From the start, Dr Andrew Aubin has been kind, understanding and patient. He listens to your issues and if you truly want take steps in the right direction, he gives you a hand with going down the path of healing.
He does not just fling cookie cutter solutions/pills at you and instead wants to find something that genuinely works and helps you feel/function/reach some stability, which I believe all doctors should follow. His nurse reflects a kind and patient attitude as well. I feel no judgement here.
The desk staff are also pleasant, I have never had a bad experience with them.

I’ve been so impressed by this clinic. The front office staff are lovely and efficient. Anytime I’ve called with an issue I have received prompt and exceptional service. Even the security guard is delightful!
I’m not sure how many doctors practice here, but I see Dr. Aubin, and find him to be a gifted psychiatrist. I was referred to the clinic by my PCP and I feel lucky to have landed with Dr. Aubin.
Dr. Aubin is kind, a good listener, and most importantly to me, he’s clearly intelligent. I trust him, and I don’t say that lightly.
His nurse is the absolute best. One day I came in upset and she was very sweet to me.
I whole heartedly recommend the Lafayette General Community Health Center, and Dr. Aubin in particular.

I moved here from Cut Off after Hurricane Ida and my insurance . I'm glad they did!I am so happy with my doctor here. She takes her time, listens to me, and addresses all my issues immediately.

Very beautiful little spot, everyone there is super friendly, and my doctor is the best. She really listens to me and takes her time every time I’ve seen her, instead of rushing from patient to patient. She always wants to help but is never pushy or aggressive in her suggestions. She also ALWAYS works to find a solution. I’ve had other doctors that hand me a pamphlet and say sayonara, but she seems like she loves a good challenge and is always ready with a list of ideas to try for anything. She’s the best. When I call the office, sometimes the nurses or receptionists just say they’ll take a message but that the doctor is too busy to call me back because that’s just what all nurses say. But Dr. Bougeois ALWAYS calls me back and makes it her mission to help. I love her she really seems to love what she does and
