“Dr. Chris Cormier, DC and the ladies in his office at The Nerve Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They listen to me and Dr. Chris studied my case and examined me then prescribed a regimen of treatment there at the clinic. I first saw him in December in which I told him about my diagnosis of CMT disease. When I came to the clinic, I was using a wheelchair if I had to walk more than a short distance. For shorter walks, I used a walker. After the first day, I noticed that night I could move my toes which had been basically paralyzed for a couple of years. Then as the week progressed I was able to move my feet at the ankle. This gave me more balance, which in turn help me walk better. I never used my wheelchair or walker again. I used a cane to help me balance along with my ankle braces that helped me with my foot drop. Once I left the clinic after that week, I continue to get better. I also purchased a body charger and I saw even more improvement. Since I had such a huge change in my condition, I decided to go back for a second visit to see Dr. Chris and his staff. He worked very hard to try to help me with my drop foot which seem to be my one last main issue. I do feel like since I have left this time my foot drop seems to be getting better each day. I cannot recommend The Nerve Institute enough for anyone who has any kind of medical issue. I learned of the Institute from a good friend who had heard Dr. Chris on a podcast. I certainly believe 100% God had his hand in making sure I ended up in Lafayette, Louisiana in the office of Dr. Chris Cormier.“

“The best cervical adjustment I have had in over 24 years on the very first visit. I almost cancelled fearing what I have experience with over 8 different chiros over the past 24 years not even attempting to do a true manipulation. Before going to him, I had looked at his age and I calculated that I have been going to chiropractors 10 years before he was even born. I really had doubts. ??? I was expecting some youngster into the look good, talk good, feel good with hocus pocus manipulations, but I was so wrong. In 50 years, I have had 14 different chiropractors. I actually scored him, he came in #4 from all my experiences; however, the top 2 had both 10 years more experience than Dr. Johnston. Sad to say I won't be around in 10 years to see where he would score given the same level of experience. I'm very pleased with his level of skill and care. Most chiros these days want the snap and go or twist and shout but they like to do it 6 feet away. As an ex healthcare provider myself, when I was young and compassionate, I would put myself in stress positions and go out of my way in providing patient care where I would take the discomfort and minimize suffering for the patient as much as possible. This is the way Dr. Johnston is, he definitely goes out of his way to prevent unnecessary discomfort on the patients. He is hands on care. Healthcare professionals like him are rare, from my own experience, perhaps 1 out of 1000 at best. I highly recommend him.“
