This gym is fantastic! I love the safe, supportive, and welcoming training environment here! Every instructor is friendly, patient, and attentive as can be, and they teach with a focus on both the self-defense potential of jiu-jitsu and the competitive / technical aspects. At other schools, there is not nearly as much practical combative training, as it often gets less emphasis than points and submissions. Here, you get both — you can train to compete while still developing the skills and mindset needed for effective, real-life self-defense. Evolution Training Martial Arts is the BEST gym for so many reasons!I'll start by addressing the kid's class. Each and every instructor coaches the children in not only jiu-jitsu, but also in life skills. They teach emotion control, respect, team work, strategies, and martial arts moves, of course. The children are kept engaged.The adult's classes are incredibly inclusive. The instructors are patient, respectful, and skilled. My first class was taught by Heath, I was nervous but he made sure I was grasping the concepts and even demonstrated multiple times. The instructors are friendly, experienced and highly-trained, the atmosphere is very family friendly (and clean!), and my daughter loves her jiu jitsu class (and we love seeing how she has grown in it)! Love this place, their events, and their great communication with clients. Thanks for the great instruction over the years, y'all! I highly recommend Evolution Training for both adults and kids classes - their services are fantastic for teaching kids discipline and respect, learning self-defense, competition MMA, and getting in a great workout!
