“Long story short, I'm in my mid 20s and don't have a license, shocking I know. My anxiety is terrible and driving scares me beyond the normal amount. I recently had a job opportunity where I NEEDED a driver's license in less than a week. A friend recommended this place and I decided to call them. It went to voicemail, but they reached out through text immediately and were so polite and efficient! They scheduled me for a road skills test on Saturday (I had called on Wednesday). The instructor was beyond nice and really a best case scenario for myself. If I was to take the test again I would 1000000% go through them and I recommend anyone who has any type of driving anxiety ( especially if its as bad as mine) to go here! “Enrolling in truck driving school was a big decision, and overall, it turned out to be a valuable and eye-opening experience. From day one, I knew I was stepping into a whole new world, and I was ready for the challenge. The instructors were knowledgeable and had real-world experience, which made a big difference. They didn't just teach from a book - they shared tips and stories from the road that helped put things into perspective. While some instructors were more patient than others, they all made sure we were learning what mattered most: safety, control, and confidence behind the wheel. The classroom portion was mostly focused on preparing us for the CDL permit, learning the rules of the road, and understanding logbooks, hours of service, and regulations. Once we moved to the yard and got behind the wheel, that's when things really clicked. Practicing backing maneuvers, pre-trip inspections, and road driving brought everything together. It was intense, but that's the kind of pressure that gets you ready. Some of the trucks were a bit older, but they were maintained well enough for learning purposes. It actually helped to train on tougher equipment because it gave me confidence that I could handle anything on the road. Truck driving school wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
Long hours, a steep learning curve, and some frustrating moments were all part of the process - but it taught me the skills and discipline I needed. If you're serious about getting into the trucking industry, be prepared to work hard, listen more than you talk, and practice as much as you can.

“The instructors were a pleasure to deal with. It took about 3 months to get completed, but at least this was mentioned online. I have some friends and their kids took somewhere else and waited double the time it took here but that could be because it’s Baton Rouge. Great driving school, my daughter had no complaints and she now has her license.“
