I play SM pretty often. It's a nice course, but it gets very busy on the weekends. If you can get a week day tee time, it's less crowded. The staff here are friendly. There's a driving range, short-game practice area, and two practice putting greens. In general, it caters to more experienced golfers, so there's fewer shenanigans going on, like the group behind hitting into you. Overall, a fun experience on a track that's challenging, but not too frustrating.

Reviews
This is a great course with a challenging layout. The greens were a bit slow but the putts rolled pretty true. Just getting through Baton Rouge coming from Lafayette is the only downside but worth the drive!
