“It took me a couple days to type up this review, and I’m happy it did. I was going to give Mel’s a 5 star review (and I still have), but I wanted to share this. First, the gentleman that work at Mel’s are amazing. They deliver great service and, more importantly, are amazing humans. They care about the work they put in, but also give a lot of care to their customers. My car had an incident where my cat peed in their carrier, which made my passenger side smell like cat pee. I cleaned it myself, but the smell wouldn’t go away. The gentleman at Mel’s took care of my car, and detailed the entire vehicle. They helped me get everything done to my car that it needed, and after the holidays to boot.Their communication was excellent. We discussed, a lot, how that smell takes time to come out in addition to cleaning, and even though I did everything right when I cleaned it, the chances were there might still be a smell even after they did. I didn’t mind that, I knew they’d be able to get in deeper than I could for cleaning, and would do a more thorough job then I could because of the tools and product they have. We understood there might still be a little cat pee smell, which again, I was fine with if the car could get cleaned. I’ve had my car over 10 years, she’s traveled up and down the country with me as I’ve visited family and gone to school here in BR. She doesn’t look the best, years of carpooling, and caretaking have done that. When I got my car back not only could I not smell cat pee, but my car looked new!The reason I’m happy it took a few days to write a reply was this: when I was driving to work this morning (it was my first day back) I noticed that everything seemed crystal clear. I realized in that moment that my windows have been kind of foggy, even on clear days, and the guys at Mel’s put in the elbow grease that made my windows look like new. I already appreciated their hard work, but seeing everything so bright really opened my eyes to how cloudy my window had been before.They did an amazing job on my car and I am so so thankful. Not only that, but they improved the safety of my view, something I hadn’t noticed was lacking.Thank you guys so much!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.“
