My daughter (6) was in a golf cart accident 4/23/25. The ER did an amazing job with her and my other daughter (7 who wasn’t injured as bad). They did TERRIBLE for my niece (14) who was severely injured as well (but that’s another post). My 6 yr old was admitted for 3 days, our first night was rough, but Marcia, our day nurse completely made up for it! I could not recommend a better nurse! She did EVERYTHING in her power to make sure my baby had the best care, plus extras. She is 10/10 one of the best nurses I have ever come in contact with (and I used to work there, so I’ve dealt with a lot of them!)
I have received exceptional care from the nursing staff since my arrival. Beginning in day surgery and now on the 2nd floor of Rapides Women & Children's wing, their kindness and gentleness have significantly enhanced my experience. I am deeply appreciative.
My daughter just had a planned c-section earlier this week. We have a large family and many of us were there for the birth. My daughter and her husband had the very best experience here. Wonderful memories were made. Her Doctor, Robert DiBenedetto, was amazing and kind. He made her feel like she was so important . He calmed her anxiety and was a true professional. The nurses and interns were also incredible. Each of them came to introduce themselves before her surgery. Once the baby was here, that entire group of nurses and staff lovingly cared for my daughter and her new son. Every piece of the puzzle was perfection. This is an important time in my child’s life, and this Hospital and staff made sure it was a wonderful experience. Even the little gift shop was great! I am so impressed.
