My husband was transferred from the hospital in Leitchfield to Signature Healthcare because the doctor said he was ready for therapy. When he first arrived he was in such bad shape, I honestly wasn’t sure he would make it through the night. He has a long road ahead of him, but after being there for 2 weeks now he has already made progress. He is now able to stand with assistance for a short time, but still cannot walk. He is able to feed himself now, and his breathing has improved as well. My first time ever having to be in a facility like this. I really didn’t know what to expect. My first night there was very hard and uncomfortable for me. But after being reassured that my concerns would be addressed the next day, things went a lot better. I was totally dependent on the staff for daily assistance . I still can’t imagine going anywhere else. From the Nursing staff the Nursing Aides, the Therapy Team and even Housekeeping Staff made me feel like I was apart of their family.
