I unexpectedly lost my two month old daughter. I had about 24 hours to pick out a funeral home. Based on prices and online reviews I decided to go with Lindsey Funeral Home. Beautiful funeral services. I don’t regret the choice I made with Mount Kenton on Lone Oak Road. I had about 72 hours to make a decision on which cemetery I wanted my daughter buried at, forever. This cemetery is the most beautiful, upkeep cemetery in Paducah KY. Overall the experience turned out beautiful during an unfortunate event. Thank you.

I had two places to visit in the Mount Kenton Cemetery. First, Vice President Alben W. Barkley, 35th vice president of the United States under Harry S. Truman. He served from 1949 to 1953 an passed in 1956. You'll find that he has a simple plot here in the cemetery, located on Barkley Road. Note my photograph with the businesses on Lone Oak and pay tribute to this American. Second, spot the seven columns that serve as a historical monument for a since destroyed building. The marker here reads, "These columns are from the old federal building in Paducah and completed in 1885, demolished in 1937. Stored at Mt. Kenton until 1989 when erected by cemetery through courtesy of Reynolds Monument Co." They are located in the west corner of the cemetery and tower above the regular tombstones. I've never seen a building's burial spot before, so this was unique. The cemetery is in excellent condition with paved roads that are easy to drive though only single-file. Keep an eye out for any groundskeeper vehicles that might be blocking the road ahead so that you don't have to do a long reverse back to an intersection.
